You will engage with stakeholders to ensure accurate financial operations, focusing on invoicing, month-end journals, payroll reporting, and NDIS billing. Microsoft 365 Business Central or SAP experience is preferred but not essential.
Accounting:
- Monitor and reconcile daily bank balances in Business Central.
- Maintain appropriate bank balances through short-term cashflow forecasting.
- Support month-end reporting with general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for Annual Leave, LSL and PLSL
- Handle quarterly PLSL preparation and reporting to authorities.
- Prepare quarterly BAS and ensure compliance with ATO regulations.
- Reconcile the Wages Control Account for accurate monthly P&L reporting.
- Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Prepare accurate NDIS billing and manage accounts receivable.
- Process daily debtor receipting and monthly rental billings.
- Submit NDIS claims and manage corporate credit card expenses.
- Provide relief for finance/admin roles during leave.
- Assist with various ad hoc projects and support annual audits.
- Liaise with Employment Innovation to complete pay runs.
- Review pre-payroll reports and maintain adjustment spreadsheets.
- Coordinate with HR on payroll processes and address queries.
- Ensure payroll approvals and resolve related requests post-pay run.
- Prepare and post payroll journals for accurate financial input.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3+ years of relevant experience (preferably in the disability sector).
- Intermediate / Advanced computer skills in MS Excel and Word (Required)
- Microsoft 365 Business package experience (Preferred)
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service mindset.
- Ability to manage time effectively, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
