Our client is seeking a dedicated People & Culture Advisor responsible for facilitating key HR functions and programs. This role covers employee relations, organizational development, WH&S, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and recruitment. Reporting to the CEO, the People & Culture Advisor will enhance HR policies, processes, and practices while recommending improvements to senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the HR/P&C needs of the business, ensuring a people-centric culture. This includes Employee and Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, Learning and Development, Recruitment, and Workplace Health & Safety.
  • Enhance business performance through an engaged workforce, focusing on culture and well-being to promote employee engagement and retention, and attract high-calibre talent.
  • Collaborate with the management team to understand their strategies and HR/P&C needs, developing and implementing initiatives that support business objectives. 
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job advertising, candidate screening, interviewing, onboarding, and updating employee records. Review compensation and benefits packages.
  • Support organizational structure changes and performance improvements. 
  • Offer guidance on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances, restructures, and change proposals.
  • Continuously improve HR/P&C practices and processes, recommending and implementing changes as needed. 
  • Develop and implement HR/P&C strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business strategy and values.
  • Draft and review employment agreements with Employsure, making necessary updates.
  • Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing, including IAS and payroll tax within required timeframes.
  • Oversee all aspects of WH&S.
Desired Experience and Attributes
  • Minimum 2-3 years in a generalist HR role or similar.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
  • Highly developed writing skills, ability to provide sophisticated HR advice, and technical understanding of workplace safety, ER/IR, Fair Work Australia, the National Employment Standards, Fair Work Act, and relevant Award interpretation.
  • Ability to execute projects with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent interviewing skills, strict confidentiality, strong organizational management, and superior interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled at coaching and mentoring leaders, with a solid understanding of the employee lifecycle.
