Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development, review and evaluation of individually tailored support plans, in collaboration with participants, their support networks and SIL Team Leaders
- Develop staff expertise in the delivery of person-centred active support within a human rights framework
- Ensure day to day support is provided in accordance with participant support plans, NDIS standards and best practice approaches to disability support
- Oversee the provision of behaviour supports, ensuring plans are implemented consistently and staff understand. Liaise with health care professionals and escalate issues as required
- Oversee the entry and transition of new participants, ensuring all required information and documentation is completed prior to entry
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to grow a sustainable and high quality SIL service for participants, their support networks and our staff
- Cultivate excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide an environment of care, comfort and security that enhances wellbeing and encourages people to fulfil their potential
- Monitor and manage the SIL house environment
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably within the disability sector
- Comprehensive understanding of NDIS Quality Practice Standards and Pricing Arrangements
- Proven track record in managing high-quality services
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills
- A passionate advocate for the rights and inclusion of individuals with disabilities
- Valid NDIS Worker Clearance and Working With Children Check
